In the Menus area of the You Control: Desktops configuration window, click the "Set Hot Key..." button. In the resulting pop-up window, choose "Set to None" and then click "OK."
You Control: Desktops menu is active globally regardless of what application you may be currently working in. This means that any Hot Keys you have established in You Control: Desktops will override those of other applications. Choose your keyboard shortcuts for your Hot Keys carefully. For a complete list of Apple specific command keys please see Apple's Mac OS X: Keyboard Shortcuts page.
You can assign an application to a specific desktop by following these steps:
You can assign an application to appear on every desktop by following these steps:
If you have the Desktop File and Folder Items feature enabled (on the Desktops tab), You Control: Desktops creates a Desktops folder in your Home folder. Inside that folder are separate folders for each desktop. Each desktop's items are stored in the appropriate folder, when the desktop is not active. When the desktop is active, the desktop's items are found in the system's "Desktop" folder directly within your home folder.
As an example, imagine you have two desktops, Work and Play. When you switch from desktop Work to desktop Play, the contents of the system's Desktop folder (which represents what was on Work) are moved to Desktops/Work, and then the contents of Desktops/Play are moved to the system's Desktop folder. So now that you are on Play, the Desktops/Play folder is empty.
