I have the Individual File and Folder Items enabled. Where are these items stored?

If you have the Desktop File and Folder Items feature enabled (on the Desktops tab), You Control: Desktops creates a Desktops folder in your Home folder. Inside that folder are separate folders for each desktop. Each desktop's items are stored in the appropriate folder, when the desktop is not active. When the desktop is active, the desktop's items are found in the system's "Desktop" folder directly within your home folder.

As an example, imagine you have two desktops, Work and Play. When you switch from desktop Work to desktop Play, the contents of the system's Desktop folder (which represents what was on Work) are moved to Desktops/Work, and then the contents of Desktops/Play are moved to the system's Desktop folder. So now that you are on Play, the Desktops/Play folder is empty.

What does "Inline" mean and what happens if I uncheck an "Inline" box for a menu setting?

If a You Control: Desktops feature is set to display its information "Inline," the information will be displayed under the main menu item. If a feature is set to not display information "Inline," the information will be "nested" within a sub-menu.
